Over 80 years of supporting people …

The Benevolent Fund was set up in 1934 to provide financial support to chemical engineers in need. We can offer help and support with a whole range of issues and can provide financial support as one-off grants, regular grants, and interest free loans in cases of genuine hardship.

We’re here to help.

If you’ve been financially impacted by the soaring cost-of-living crisis, or other factors, the Fund may be able to offer assistance.
For example, if your regular income has been significantly reduced the Fund may be able to provide a loan or grant to help with day-to-day expenses. Other help could include support to cover carer’s expenses if you or a family member are not able to work due to ill health. The Fund offers a completely confidential service.
